Congratulations on the arrival of your new child..so precious and loved
I believe children are gifts from God. I am so grateful and happy to have two beautiful grown children of my own to love...and now have the joy of loving a wonderful son-in-law. My daughter and son-in-law have given me two adorable and energetic young grandsons to love, cherish and have fun with! My son in Milwaukee is engaged to a wonderful woman and will be getting married in 2021. Then my family will officially expand again! I am excited to have a daughter-in-law!
Raising a child gives you the opportunity to shape, guide and influence a new life in profound ways with love, hope, education and spiritual meaning. Perhaps you want to raise your child as a non-denominational Christian, setting the example of Christian values and beliefs in your home. However, you don't belong to a church and still want to have your child christened. Perhaps you feel a little pressure from well-meaning family members (whom you love and respect) to have your child baptized.
I started performing baptisms the same weekend I performed my first wedding back in 1999. Now I am here to make a Christian baptism for your child easy and convenient. I provide a traditional yet informal baptism which can be a joy for you and your family. I can baptize your child in your home or at any location you would want me to come to. Sometimes the child is quiet and attentive, other times the baby cries and squirms, sometimes the baby falls asleep in the arms of the parent. It is all part of the beauty of a baptismal service! Having a baptism is as a wonderful reason to bring together family, godparents and close friends. I have performed many baptisms that were planned in conjunction with the child's first birthday celebration. Oh...and it is an opportunity for photos....lots of photos....
In the baptismal service, I can include prayers and blessings, Bible verses, anointing with oil, baptism with the sprinkling of water on the baby's head, lighting of the baptismal candle and a signed baptismal certificate. You can choose as many godparents as you would like, However, you don't need to have godparents for your child to be baptized.
As your family expands, may your love and joy expand!
P.S. I also do Christian baptisms for adults. Same kind of service except some of the wording is different.
